The PERM Page has been created by the Law Offices of Jay I. Solomon
to provide clients and colleagues with a blueprint of the Department of Labor's
new PERM Regulations and to provide ready access to resources, analysis, and
strategic recommendations.

PERM
PERM is the Department of Labor's Re-engineered Permanent Labor
Certification Program. It is effective on March 28, 2005 pursuant to
regulations published on December 27, 2004 in the Federal Register.
Before PERM Labor certifications - a prerequisite to many types of immigrant
("green card") applications - could take years to clear the Department
of Labor and were subject to the vagaries of different processes in 50
states. Under PERM, the DOL promises normal adjudication times of less
than two months.
