The PERM Page has been created by the Law Offices of Jay I. Solomon
to provide clients and colleagues with a blueprint of the Department of
Labor's PERM process and to provide ready access to resources, analysis, and
strategic recommendations.

PERM
PERM is the Department of Labor's Re-engineered Permanent Labor
Certification Program. It was effective on March 28, 2005.
Before PERM Labor certifications - a prerequisite to many types of immigrant
("green card") applications - could take years to clear the Department of Labor
and were subject to the vagaries of different processes in 50 states.
Under PERM, the DOL originally promised normal adjudication times of less than
two months. The process has been centralized. The promise has at
times been fulfilled. DOL reported processing times can be found on the
Department of Labor's iCERT portal.
